Dr. Shah is a proven champion for Universal healthcare

As an emergency physician, Dr. Shah witnesses firsthand the struggles of patients who cannot afford the care they need. Our current healthcare system is broken, prescription drugs are unaffordable, and reproductive freedoms are under attack. And now, Congress is preparing to gut Medicaid, healthcare that Arizonans rely on—including our seniors and children.

All Arizonans deserve to have access to quality, affordable healthcare. In Congress, he will work to expand coverage, protect Medicare, and lower prescription drug prices.

Amish believes that only a woman and her provider should make decisions about reproductive healthcare. That’s why he worked across the aisle in the Arizona State Legislature to protect access to the abortion drug mifepristone. Dr. Shah has a 100% pro-choice voting record, and he will continue protecting a woman’s right to choose in Congress by codifying Roe v. Wade.

Economy

Lowering Costs for Arizonans

Costs are too high for the working families of Arizona as the cost of housing, groceries, and health care go up, and the Trump Administration is making the problem worse by threatening and enacting reckless tariffs on goods that we rely on every day. These tariffs are a tax on Arizona families that will raise costs on groceries, gas, cars, and housing, hurt small businesses,  and hurt our economy.

Our current representative, David Schweikert, is failing to do his job to protect us from the chaos.

In the State House, Amish cut taxes for middle-class families, was a champion of small business, and worked across the aisle to make housing and health care more affordable. In Congress, Amish will continue working to lower costs, including by rolling back reckless tariffs, so families can continue to afford to live and raise a family here.

Standing with our seniors

Protecting Social Security and Medicare

Amish knows that Arizona’s seniors are worried about the security of their retirement as Congress and Elon Musk put Social Security and Medicare on the chopping block and instability in the economy threatens 401(k) investments.

David Schweikert plans to raise the age for Social Security and cut Medicare and Medicaid benefits.

In Congress, Amish will always stand up to protect Social Security and Medicare  and ensure that all Arizona seniors receive the benefits they paid for and earned.

democracy

protecting our democracy
against attackS

American Democracy is under attack. Extremists have cast doubt on the results of our elections, threatened to decertify the will of Arizona’s voters, and incited a deadly insurrection to stop the counting of votes.

In the State House, Amish demonstrated unwavering commitment to safeguarding the integrity of our electoral process. In Congress, he will continue to uphold our Constitution and protect democratic institutions. Amish will combat partisan gerrymandering and is dedicated to eliminating dark money from politics and stopping corrupt politicians from enriching themselves in office.

The Trump Administration has been trampling on the U.S. Constitution: attacking judges, defying court orders—including from the U.S. Supreme Court—and carrying out enforcement actions without due process. In Congress, Dr. Shah will stand up for the rule of law.

education

Every kid deserves
a real chance

All of Arizona’s children deserve a strong public education. Amish knows that a good education can change lives, but our educators are underpaid, and our schools are underfunded.

In Congress, Amish will defend the Department of Education, champion increased funding for public schools, and push for better teacher pay. He is committed to lowering the cost of higher education, ensuring that every student can access quality training without the burden of crushing debt, regardless of their chosen path.

Public Safety

Keeping communities safe

As an emergency room physician, Amish has seen firsthand the devastating impacts of gun violence and illegal drug trafficking.

In the State House, he worked across the aisle to improve public safety by supporting Arizona’s first responders and curbing the flow of illegal and dangerous drugs like fentanyl. In Congress, he’ll continue to work to keep our communities safe by taking action to reduce gun violence, fully funding our police, and stopping the flow of fentanyl across the border.
